Curriculum Offer
During Covid-related Academy closures it is imperative that all our students are able to access our knowledge rich curriculum and continue to learn and progress to meet the high expectations all AIM North London staff have of our students. In order for this to happen we will be running our Academy time table on Microsoft Teams. This will allow all students to access high quality live lessons, which provide them with the space, time and support to continue learning and be challenged in all areas of our curriculum.
This page will provide you with the expectations of home learning, and our online curriculum as well as how you can best support your child, and help them continue to progress in their education.
Remote curriculum:
We have moved our normal Academy time table online. This means students will receive 4 high quality lessons a day, and their LEAD lesson which is specifically designed to provide them with support and information in this difficult time as well as other PSHE requirements.
We will use a combination of the following approaches to teach our students;
- live teaching (online lessons) using Microsoft Teams (see timetable below)
- recorded teaching (Oak National Academy lessons)
- printed paper packs (eg Science homework packs)
- reading books pupils have at home
- commercially available websites: Hegarty Maths, Seneca, Memrise, Oxford Owl
This will allow us to continue to follow our knowledge rich curriculum, wherever possible. In some subjects there might be adaptations to the order in which the curriculum is taught due to access to equipment (like in mathematics or art).
Remote Time-table and Access:
Each day you should expect your child to be online, and logged into Microsoft Teams in a live lesson as per the time table below.

In order to access their remote learning students at AIM North London are going to need the following:
- Access to the internet:
- If this is an issue please ensure you email your HoY.
- Access to a laptop (per child)
- Microsoft Teams also works on a smart phone or tablet, if this is your only device please ensure you have let your child’s HoY know so that we can source a laptop if available.
- Username and Password for Microsoft Teams:
- This can be given to you by your HoY.
- School exercise books, pens and pencils
- If you do not have these at home, we are sending home packs to all students, and more can be provided where needed
If you child does not have access to any of the above, then one of the following steps will happen:
- A laptop will be made ready for you to collect on your child’s behalf
- Your child will be asked to come and work from our onsite provision
- Your child will receive printed resources for them to work through alongside check in from their teachers
In addition to this, different subjects will be using other online sites, as per the table below, if your child has forgotten their password or needs a log in please ask them to email their class teacher.
