Year 6 Transition
Welcome to AIM North London Academy, this section of our website is dedicated to supporting all of our new students and their families who will be joining us in September.
We are understand that this can be a daunting as well as exciting time for many families and so the information on here is designed to support you in this transition process.
You will find in this section of the website the following information which you can access:
- Welcome video from our Headteacher Ms Darley
- Introduction to Hegarty Maths our online Maths programme which you can now use to support your Maths learning
- Introduction to the Oxford Owl, this is a free website for students to access, and it provides reading materials for students to access. The log on to it is;

Password: abc1 - A form which we would love for you to fill in to ask any questions that you may have about the school or the transition process, we will be posting a Q&A session with Ms Darley in the coming weeks to answer some of these questions
Time line for Summer Term:
As we have said before we are here to provide you and your child with all the support necessary to make this transition from Primary to Secondary school as smooth as possible.
- To help this we have set out the events and communication that will take place below and when you can expect them.
- April: Email from Ms Darley and log into the website
- May: Letter through the post from Ms Darley, welcome videos online, Hegarty and Oxford Owl sign up, Q&A session with Ms Darley
- June: 1-2-1 conversations with a member of the senior leadership team (this will be conducted online), taster lessons for all students
